The c-suite’s role in driving digital transformation.

DigitalAsUsual_transp

Analysts such as Gartner reveal that IT spending is no longer only the remit of the IT department. In fact, the majority of IT procurement takes place in business departments such as HR, marketing, finance, customer service, legal, product development and sales – where all members of the c-suite play a role in driving the digital transformation agendas of their departments, and broader organisation.

Digital Nation Live 2023: Digital as Usual, will incorporate a digital report, unpacking the impact of digital technologies on Australian business, in departments outside of IT.

We will launch this report in an exclusive breakfast event at a Sydney CBD location on Tuesday 30th of May.

In 2024, Digital Nation’s Digital as Usual report and event series will see four iterations, each providing c-level executives, board members and non-execs with comprehensive insights around the topics:

  • Cybersecurity
  • Finance, HR and Marketing
  • AI, Automation and Analytics
  • Tech Partnerships

The topics will be investigated through mini documentaries and deep-dive articles. Each report will be launched at an exclusive breakfast event in Sydney.

Cyber Security: A whole of business approach to cybersecurity

It is crucial for Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and security leaders to learn to better communicate cyber risk to boards and executive teams, to ensure that the appropriate level of risk awareness and investment is directed towards cybersecurity.

However, the language required in effectively translating cyber risk for board leaders differs to how security leaders can best engage with their chief execs.

This Digital As Usual report and event brings together security leaders, c-level executives and board directors to explore the strategies they can utilise to drive effective cyber programs.

Finance, Marketing & HR: Leveraging technology & digital

Analysts such as Gartner reveal that IT spending is no longer only the remit of the IT department.

In fact, the majority of IT procurement takes place in business departments such as HR, marketing and finance – where all members of the c-suite play a role in driving the digital transformation agendas of their departments, and broader organisation.

At this Digital As Usual event, we will provide c-level executives with a comprehensive understanding of how these transformative technologies can be harnessed to drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and unlock untapped opportunities.

Tech partnerships: Procurement for the future

Digital transformation in organisations has evolved over the years. Once seen as implementing specific platforms to create efficiencies and streamline processes to integrating technologies like AI and blockchain to continue the enhancement of business processes.

So how does the procurement of this technology work and how is it different to implementing specific platforms? In this Digital As Usual report, we investigate how procurement processes have evolved as digital transformation changes to suit modern business needs and what c-suite leaders and board members need to know in this innovative era of procurement.
